The Mission of NSJP is to bring back to the North Shore of Massachusetts the Jazz and Blues tradition that was vibrant for so long at Sandys Jazz Revival. Sandy’s was an intimate Beverly nightclub that hosted some of the greatest jazz and blues talent including Louis Armstrong, Thelonious Monk, Muddy Waters, Dexter Gordon, Buddy Rich, and Howlin Wolf. The North Shore Jazz Project wants to revitalize this cultural tradition by producing a jazz and blues television series and website with an educational component and through programs and concerts that connect with area educational institutions.
